Welcome! I am pleased to introduce myself. My name is Alicia Gaigg, owner of Hairs What's Happening in Studio #18. My career began immediately after I graduated high school and entered cosmetology school at IBA College of Cosmetology, right here in Appleton, WI. Upon completion of my training, I earned a job opportunity in a small country salon in Shiocton, WI and worked my way up the cosmetology ladder for the past 26 years. I have worked in small salons and large corporate salons throughout my journey, continuing to learn and grow and stay on the"cutting" edge of this fabulous industry. Since I became a self-employed salon owner/manager in 2003, I also returned to school at Martin's College of Cosmetology to earn my credentials as a licensed cosmetology instructor. Currently, I work full time in my salon and occasionally teach cosmetology classes at Empire Beauty School and salon/business tours for Gil-Tech Academy's salon manager's course. In the most recent past, I also had the privilege of teaching continuing education classes for the Department of Regulations and Licensing-Barbering and Cosmetology at summits held in Madison and Stevens Point,WI. My career has blessed me with many opportunities to show my passion for the cosmetology industry and meet fabulous people and put smiles on many beautiful faces!
