Hey! I’m Kayla & I’m not the “traditional” stylist (; I’m a GSO native & I love getting outside with my dog Kali, being with loved ones & being in the sun! I love Rupaul’s drag race, the Canes, all the music, to laugh, go to the gym, & my favorite word starts with “F”. I went to Aveda in Chapel Hill & have been doing hair since 2014. I pride myself on having the keen ability to truly listen to a guest in order to give them a custom result that is tailored for their hair and lifestyle. Continuing my education is essential to me. If you’re not growing, you’re dying in this trend based industry! While I love all aspects of my craft, my true passion lies with creating natural, lived in hair through color & straight razor cuts. I also enjoy doing dimensional & lived-in color, blonding, & major color corrective projects! I love the chemistry, challenge, & color theory that goes into blonding & corrective color. Since being trained & certified by ARROJO with the straight razor in 2018, it has unlocked a true passion for cutting. My favorite thing is a shag, or anything I get to craft with my razor. I love ALL the body & ALL the movement, a razor can truly free-up your hair, like you wouldn’t believe! I love the edge & the softness of it. While I can do precision based stuff, my goal is more to create visual & density balance, while working with your natural cowlicks, growth patterns, curls etc to give a cut that is uniquely you & easy. While being as wash & wear as it gets!
