Dedication to his profession is what drives Derek. Unsatisfied by a career in federal government defense, he choose to pursue his true passion for hair. Derek received his Advanced Masters certificate at the Graham Webb Academy, where he placed in the top of his class and was recognized nationally as one of the top student stylists in the country. After graduating, he served as an apprentice at the renowned George at The Four Seasons. While working with seasoned stylists from Turkey and the UK, he gained experience in international methods of cutting, coloring, and a styling. Derek has trained alongside Bumble and bumble and Arrojo stylists on advanced methods of cutting. He has worked under educators from Wella and Goldwell on advanced coloring techniques and trends. Through his attention to technical detail and simple elegance, Derek's goal is to create the style that perfectly suits you.

My hair looks awesome! Derek is amazing. I have never returned regularly to a stylist or salon, but I will now. My color and cut are great. I've gotten so many compliments since seeing Derek. I highly recommend him! Cute little shop in the heart of Carytown. Super accessible from anywhere in the city.
