HILLARY SMALL | LAVENDER & LACE
Hillary Small grew up in lots of different places: mostly California, but also many years in Germany and Louisiana. Most immediately she was in Charleston before moving to Asheville 10 years ago. Like many, she came here for a visit, fell in love with the mountains, and hasn’t looked back.
Hillary earned her license at Carolina College of Hair Design and has been a hair stylist for a decade now. Additional education includes advanced classes at the AVEDA Institute in Charlotte, NC, and advanced razor cutting classes at Nick Arrojo's studio in NYC.
The first things that Hillary wants her clients to feel when visiting Lavender & Lace at Sola Salon Studios is relaxed and welcomed. Come right in and make yourself comfortable. Help yourself to tea, coffee or wine, or just have a seat after long day, and be surrounded by the luxury of the lovely salon. Let the incredible view from the salon windows take you away.
Hillary offers her clients a wide array of services. She is skilled in precision haircuts, both with shears and with razor. She offers beautiful hair coloring, from the softest balayage effects to loud, vivid colors. She is certified in Peter Coppola Keratin Treatments, which leaves any coarse hair feeling and looking sleek, shiny and smooth.
But what really sets Hillary apart is being certified in Great Lengths hair extensions. These are the best hair extensions on the market and the only company that offers 100% human hair, 100% ethically sourced, and 100% traceable. Come on by and see for yourself!
She uses R+Co products and absolutely loves them because the products are effective and actually do what they are meant to do. They are also vegan, gluten free and cruelty free!
Not only does Lavender & Lace Salon take into account your needs of hair, it also takes into account your needs as person. Honesty is important in this salon. You may want a certain look, but it may not be the best for your hair or your particular lifestyle. Hillary is receptive to her clients. Listening and taking into account her clients’ hair types is key to her. Striving to give clients timeless cuts and colors that will never go out of style is what this salon is all about.
“I love being able to connect with many different people — Many different people that may not have come into my life if it wasn't for what I do,” says Hillary. “I love the feeling of winning people's trust, and feeling them relax in my chair. I love when people open up to me, and we share stories and laughs!”
Come by Lavender & Lace in downtown Asheville and be pampered by Hillary!
