Jean Barbee Dawkins is President and CEO of Salon Montage, Inc. She has been a licensed hair stylist for over 30 years and a salon owner for more than 20 years. In 1994, Jean founded Salon Montage in her home town of Arlington, VA. The first salon was located in historic Delray in Alexandria, VA. In 2009, the salon relocated to historic Herndon, VA. As of September 2014, the salon is located inside of Sola Salons in Tysons Corner. Jean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Industrial Education concentrating in Cosmetology from Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. She received her initial cosmetology license and training at the Arlington Career Center in Arlington, VA. Ambition and diligence pushed Jean to press forward in the industry to tap into several areas such as platform styling, teaching, technical instruction, legal reconstruction in court cases and serving on an expert panel of cosmetologist for the State of Virginia
