Hi There!! 

My name is Kathleen Floyd and I’m so excited to be at Sola Salons Bee Cave. My hope is to provide therapeutic massage therapy services that enhance the quality of life of each and every person that I’m privileged to work with. 

A little about me….

I’m a registered nurse with over 30 years experience. I started out as a trauma ICU nurse in Houston, but my true love has been in hospice care where I spent the majority of my nursing career. I became a massage therapist almost 20 years ago during some time off from nursing and did that for a couple of years before returning back to nursing. In the past 2 years, I transitioned back to massage therapy full time and received a great deal of training and experience in deep tissue massage which has been a tremendous gift. 

My goal is to combine my nursing experience and knowledge of the body and various health conditions with massage therapy to provide a very therapeutic holistic experience with a mix of deeper therapeutic work (as desired and tolerated) as well as relaxing gentle touch when necessary. Most people, whether you’re healthy and fit or dealing with some health conditions, will benefit from a great massage customized just for you and your needs. 

My heart will always be drawn to hospice so I hope to be able to make home visits at some point for those who are terminally ill to be able to provide them with a gentle therapeutic massage as well as to give a much needed massage to their loved ones and caregivers. Another goal of mine is to become certified in manual lymphatic drainage massage, so be looking for that service to be added soon. 

It feels so good to help people to feel better and to be a part of their journey and I would be honored if you stopped by or called just to say hello or to talk so I can answer any of your questions.
