Melanie has over fifteen years of experience in the hair and makeup industry. She began her training at the Coiffure Beauty School near St. Louis, Mo. before moving to the east coast which catapulted her career in bridal, editorial, fashion, runway, television, pageants, and commercials.
She made her mark in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. Melanie gained invaluable experience working as an educator for Kevin.Murphy. Melanie strengthened her skills and was given the opportunity to work with the best professionals in the industry. While working as an educator, she presented numerous classes to salons on the east coast.

I am so excited to review a new stylist! I found Melanie through a search for colorist near Burke. I loved my previous stylist but It's hard for me to get out to Fairfax on a weekday. I also LOVED all the styles and colors on Melanie's Instagram pages! Making an appointment was easy and we had a short phone consult so I could convey the challenges that I tend to have with my hair. I had another consult with Melanie and she educated me on a few things about toning my color after a few weeks to avoid the "yellow and brassy" look. I hate that look on me! I loved the way my new color blends with my overall hair look. I also wanted to get a shorter cut for easy management but I didn't want to have my big ole chub cheeks showing too much! Pricing is in line with salons in the area. She did an excellent job with no rush cuts! I can't wait to return and am so glad to find a fabulous person close to home!
