About me:
Passion
I was 13 years old the first time I did a haircut. In that moment, I discovered what would turn out to be my life-long passion—styling hair.
Education
Beauty school provided me with a solid foundation in hair styling, but I never really believed my education was over. I enjoy learning new skills and approaches to styling hair. Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to pursue life-long learning through experts within the industry—most notably Bumble and Bumble and Aveda.
Challenge
My biggest dream was to open my own salon with an eye towards providing the latest techniques, the highest quality products, and the best customer service. In 1990, I opened Copáge Salon and achieved this vision in the context of a full scale salon and day spa. After 24 years, I was inspired to down size the salon to provide a more personal and private experience in a boutique-like atmosphere.
Personal satisfaction
It is rewarding to help people feel good about their hair and overall appearance. Through the personal relationships I have with my clients, I have come to learn that a healthy personal image is hugely important in life. For some, it provides that much needed self-confidence boost for an upcoming job interview. For others, it is a means by which to cope with life’s many unforeseen challenges. There are only a few things that give me as much satisfaction as styling hair and my relationships with my clients.
