My name is Rhonda Jones and I would like to share with you my journey on how I started doing hair. First let me say I have been married to my wonderful husband Kelly Jones for 20 years, we have two beautiful daughters by the name of Kelli Renee who is 12 and Ashley Marie who is 10 years old. Before doing hair I worked as a medical biller and QA auditor for insurance companies for 16 years and quick in 2011 to pursue my career in Cosmetology fully. My journey being my senior year in high school, after going to a stylist my sister subjected, I had to go home and redo my hair. From that point on I started doing my hair but I did try other stylists when the movie “Ghost” came out with Demi Moore rocking that Dutch boy cut. No one was able to give me that style, so I did it myself. I received a lot of comments; from that day on I did my own hair. People always asked who did my hair when I tell who they always asked if I did hair and I answer, NO. I was asked to do one of my church member’s hair after that started me doing hair for the fun which turned into a passion. Before you knew it I have been doing hair for fun in between working my real job for over 20 years. I finally decided to go to cosmetology school in 2009 so I can learn on how to do beautiful and healthy hair. While attending hair school I competed for two years in the Future Professionals Expo held in Hershey, PA. I came in fifth place in long hair design in May 2011 out of 100 contenders around the United States. After graduation I have continued with my education in hair receiving Certifications in Advanced Haircutting, Creative Contemporary Razor Cutting both by Master of Beauty with Nick Arrojo and Redken Specialist.
